There has been recent intellectual conversation on this particular topic of the recession. Through this conversation it is stated that the recession has become renamed the "man-cession". The reasoning behind the name change is due to the results of the recession placing thousands on blue collar males out of work. Therefore, causing men to become depressed due the inability to find new employment and women having to take the forefront and the financial load in the homes. It is stated, due to this shifting of the male roles, men are having a difficult time embracing their "new roles".
I say, this is an opportunity to take a stand for your families and communities! Take this time to regroup and take your homes, children, the schools, and communities back. Yes, take them back! Use this time of being home to instill the moral values, which you grew up with, back into your children. Use this time to go into the community and volunteer your time to teach other young men the knowledge of being a man. Use this time to volunteer at the schools with your children. Use this time productively to change society! Use this time to discover your God-given talent and start a business. Use this time to pursue your dreams. Now is the time! Now is the time! Take advantage of this time to bring your family and community back to you as the head and leader.
So many people feel society has lost it's way. Young men of all colors and ages walking around with their pants hanging to their knees. Why? It is not the least bit attractive or cute. If I wanted to look at the underwear of men all day, I would go to a department store and stand in the male underwear section. Pull your damn pants up and stop holding them up with a belt. Your belt is ment to go aroung your waist, not under your butt.
Men this is the time for you to take a stand and spend some quality time with your children. Take them fishing, teach them how to ride a bike, teach them manners and respect. Why is it no one holds the door for you anymore? Why is it no one says "excuse me"? What is really going on? Has the advancement of technology made us lazy parents? Men, do you not have expectations for yourself and your family? Well, whatever it is, get over it!!!! Do not allow society to take this opportunity away from you. Men, you are the heads of not just your home, but society. Think back....yes, there was a time when the world was headed only by men. And yes, women have come along way. However, men...this is your time to shine. Stand up and fight for what is yours.....your women, children, home, business opportunity, your community. Remember, it is said "It takes a village to raise a child," well who is the head of the village?
Yes, you many need your ego stroked right about now, but enough stroking has been done. Men, get with it! This is not a bashing. This is a call for all men to take back what is rightfully yours! No more playing the role of the misunderstood or misguided. Go back to school! Build your business and your families. Let's show the world what your trully made of! Your communities, schools, family, women and children need you. We need you to hold your head up and walk with the pride that you are filled with. Get your hustle back on. GET YOUR HUSTLE BACK ON!!!!!
